The roles and responsibilities of the CIO are as follows:

1. Ensure that all users comply with the ICT Security Policy of the Kota Tinggi District Council.
2. Ensure that all organizational requirements (financial resources, human resources and security protection) are adequate.
3. Ensure all users understand the provisions under the ICT Security Policy.
4. Ensure risk assessment and ICT security programs are implemented as stipulated in the ICT Security Policy.
