Tuesday, 16 July 2024 - Kota Tinggi District Council (MDKT) had the honour of receiving a visit from the Assessment Panel of the Local Authority Star Rating System (SPB-PBT) for the purpose of performance evaluation.
The assessment panel was led by Mr. Chin Khien Leong, Senior Assistant Director of the Inspectorate Division, Department of Local Government, who served as the Head of the Panel. He was accompanied by five other distinguished panel members, Ms. Nadiayatulaida binti Ahmad Tajudin, Senior Assistant Secretary, Community Wellbeing Division, Ministry of Local Government Development, Ms. Juliana binti Abd Rahman, Assistant Secretary, Development Division, Ministry of Local Government Development, Ms. Aida Fathirah binti Mohd Faridz, Assistant Director, Public Health Engineering Consultancy Division, Department of Local Government, Ms. Nur Aimi Aqilah binti Hashim, Assistant Director, Central Zone Project Office, Department of Town and Country Planning; and Ms. Ong Ei Lin, Senior Assistant Director, Information Management Division, Department of Local Government.
The Local Authority Star Rating System (SPB-PBT) was introduced by the Ministry of Local Government Development (KPKT) as an initiative to evaluate and enhance the performance of local authorities across Malaysia. This assessment serves as a benchmark to measure how effectively local authorities carry out their responsibilities and deliver services to the public.
During the evaluation, several key aspects were assessed, including Management, Core Services, Customer Management, Community Participation, and Public Perception.
